Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Atlanta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Zero stars if possible. They will mislead you! They will tell you that they “accept” your insurance only to later tell you that they are actually not in network with them and you will pay full price for your service. Ie. for my two year old daughter’s first cleaning we were charged $281.00: $59 for fluoride, $128 for a first time consultation and an additional $94 for a tooth cleaning. This is a child with no cavities, very well mannered, and all of eight/ten perfect baby teeth. Brianna also told me their website states they are “out of network with all carriers” so if they tell you they will accept your insurance do not be misled by their deceptive tactics.

The office is sending us bills that we don’t owe. It seems like they are desperate for patients money without providing any service. It is illegal or harassment. For over two years, my children have not received any medical or professional services from this establishment. Consequently, any charges appearing on our account for this period are entirely baseless and illegitimate. I have engaged in multiple conversations with various members of the office staff over the past several months to rectify this situation. On every occasion, I was assured that the discrepancy was merely a "computer glitch" and that the issue had been definitively resolved. Regrettably, these assurances have consistently proven to be false, as the billing errors persist without any genuine resolution. This ongoing situation has caused considerable frustration, unnecessary financial stress, and a significant waste of my time. The continuous receipt of baseless charges, coupled with the apparent lack of effective internal action to correct a known problem, is profoundly troubling and, frankly, feels like an unwarranted financial burden being imposed upon my family.

I’ve been bringing my son here for over 12 years. They’ve always been so kind and made him feel comfortable from the front office staff to the hygienists and dentists. My son always looks forward to going to the dentist. The office environment is super clean, peaceful and pleasant while waiting during my child’s appointment.

I had such a great experience bringing my daughter in for her cleaning! She usually hates going to the dentist, so I was honestly a little nervous—but Myra was absolutely amazing. She was so patient, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made my daughter feel completely at ease. Dr. Colton was also wonderful—very friendly, thorough, and took the time to clearly explain the treatment plan in a way that felt reassuring, not overwhelming. Everything went smoothly from start to finish, and the biggest surprise? My daughter is already asking when she can go back! That says it all. Highly recommend!

We brought our daughter for her very first dentist appointment, and the experience was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! Everyone was warm and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable right away. All of the staff were awesome, front desk, Dr Powell.. A special thank you to Nadia! She was truly exceptional. She was professional, accommodating, and incredibly thorough, all while being so kind and patient. She made the whole visit easy and stress-free. My daughter hasn’t stopped talking about how nice she was! We couldn’t have asked for a better first dental experience.
